The electronic tag ABC is intended for cash-free toll payment for freight vehicles with the maximum permissible weight (MPW) over 3,500 kg, for the first (R3) and the second (R4) toll-rate category.
Users can select between two types of the ABC tags:
1. ABC tag for the first toll-rate category - R3
With the electronic tag ABC for the first toll-rate category (R3), the cash-free toll payment is enabled the users only for the vehicles with two or three axles and with MPW over 3,500 kg, and the groups of vehicles with two or three axles and the maximum permissible weight of their trailers over 3.500 kg.
ABC tag for R3 is attainable after you submit the
Application for electronic tag ABC-R3 (for other languages see the table at the bottom of the page) to the
Toll user centre.You can send the filled application form by post, by fax +386 1 518 83 05 or scanned via e-mail:

ABC tag for R3 is bound to the individual vehicle and is not transferable.
ABC tag for R3 can be adjusted also for toll payment with regards to
the EURO emission class.
The use of R3 tag will be enabled after the first passing of the vehicle through the toll station on the so called combined lane.
2. ABC tag for the second toll-rate category - R4
With the electronic tag ABC for the second toll-rate category (R4), cash-free toll payment is enabled for the vehicles with more than three axles and with MPW over 3,500 kg, and the groups of vehicles with more than three axles and the maximum permissible weight of their trailers over 3.500 kg.
ABC tag for R4 is not bound to an individual vehicle and is transferable. It enables anonymity of toll station passes to the user, except in the following cases when the vehicle registration number is written on the media:
- Reduced toll with regards to the EURO emission class, and
- Conclusion of contract with DARS d.d. on the post-payment of toll.
ABC tag for R4 can be adjusted also for toll payment with regards to the EURO emission class. The use of R4 tag, which will be adjusted for toll payment with regards to the emission class, will be enabled after the first passing of the vehicle through the toll station on the so called combined lane, but not prior to 1 January 2010.
Electronic tag of the ABC system (R3 or R4) can be used for toll payment for all motorways and expressways in the Republic of Slovenia. Toll payment is possible only on fast and combined lanes.
Price of an electronic tag of the ABC system is 16.65 EUR.
ABC tag for toll payment can be used in the
pre-payment or in the
post-payment mode.

IMPORTANT:

- there is no fast ABC lane at the Hrušica toll station, where all vehicles pay the toll for the Karavanke tunnel; users of the ABC system can pay toll on the last two combined lanes on the right side;
