Diners card holders

The users of Diners card who decide for deferred toll payment, may link the card to a DARS card, DARS Transporter card or ABC tag. Only two different electronic medium may be linked to one Diners card.

You can perfom re-categorisation of an electronic medium by driving your vehicle to a combined lane at one of the exit toll stations. Hand over your Diners card to the toll collector and ask for re-categorization of a DARS card, DARS Transporter card or ABC tag. Their re-categorisation from pre-payment to deferred payment is possible at every toll station intended for vehicles with maximum permissible weight exceeding 3.5 t. Toll collection or reduction of credit from the electronic media will be made prior to executing re-categorisation. Upon re-categorisation, the toll collector will issue you a receipt, keep it carefully. In case of loss, theft or damage of the electronic medium or Diners card, this receipt will considerably simplify and speed up blocking the use of the electronic media.

In case that you would want to perform re-categorisation of an electronic medium without simultaneous or prior toll collection, you can do that at the Toll Users Centre, at the motorway maintenance base Ljubljana (motorway exit Ljubljana Brdo).

When you re-categorise your electronic medium, your credit on the electronic medium will be transferred to the DARS central server. All journeys will be deducted from that credit amount and when the credit is spent, a settlement transaction will be executed – the first debit journey. From that moment, you will be receiving invoice for all journeys made in deferred toll payment.

Re-categorisation to deferred toll payment or the linking between the electronic medium and Diners cardis valid for Diners cardvalidity period. An electronic medium may be re-categorised back to a pre-payment medium at any time.

In case of loss, theft or damage of an electronic medium, please call as soon as possible the Toll User Centre free phone number 080 15 03 cuc(at)dars.si, fax: 01/5188 305, or by post to the address: »DARS d.d., Cestninski uporabniški center, Grič 54, 1000 Ljubljana«.
