Payment on the spot

Toll can be paid on the spot upon each passing of a toll station with cash or a payment card accepted by DARS d.d.

Toll payment with cash takes more time than toll payment with payment cards or electronic media of DARS d.d., as it lasts 20 seconds on average. In accordance with a governmental decree on tolls, toll payment in foreign currencies is carried out at exchange rates which change once a week and are destimulative (the medium exchange rate of the Banka Slovenije central bank is used), and the change can be returned also in Euros.

Toll payment on the spot and loading of credit on electronic media of DARS d.d. (DARS card (DK), DARS card Transporter (DKT) and ABC tag) is possible with the following payment cards and cash:

From of 1 January 2011 onwards, toll payments on motorways in the Republic of Slovenia (except at the toll station Hrušica) will no longer be possible with the following payment cards: VISA, Mastercard, Eurocard, Maestro, Activa.
