 Notice – EEV emission class
All the vehicles in the EURO EEV emission class were previously classified under the EURO 5 category of the tolling system. In order to guarantee the correct calculation of toll according to the new toll pricelist, which will come into force on 1.1.2017 and will put these vehicles into the EURO VI category, the persons required to pay a toll must provide the toll road manager with a list of vehicles and their registration numbers which are registered to pay a toll, and which belong to the EEV class. This will allow DARS to transfer them from the EURO V category to the EURO VI category, from the date of the entry into force of the new toll pricelist. In this way, the toll road manager will be able to guarantee that the toll these vehicles pay are lower.

Reduced toll will enter in force with the change of the price list, or, for the subsequently submitted data, from the moment when DARS records them in the system based on the received notice (after the change is implemented, the person liable for toll will receive an automatic return message at the provided email address). Retrospective claim of reduced toll is not possible.

You, as a company or an individual, can send the notice about the fact that the individual vehicle, which you have already registered and for which you have paid the toll as a EURO 5 vehicle when it belongs to a EURO EEV emission class, via email:, fax: 01 518 8 305, or regular mail at the address DARS d.d., Dunajska 7, 1000 Ljubljana with the note »for CUC«.

The introduction of toll on the Slovenian motorways goes back in the early 1970s, when two motorway sections – between Vrhnika and Postojna and between Celje and Maribor – were opened for traffic.

In this chapter you will learn all about toll collection on the Slovenian motorways. You can find information about toll collection in other countries on this link.

There are different tolling systems and toll roads in Slovenia. More about this …

Vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tones pay toll with vignettes. You can find more about this here.

Drivers of vehicles weighing over 3.5 tones can choose among different ways of payment. You can look up for these ways of payment on this link.

Using the USER PORTAL you can monitor the used toll, load your credit and order new or additional electronic media.

By clicking this link you can calculate very quickly how much you are going to pay for the use of motorways on your way through Slovenia, between toll stations.
